I wish I could relive this moment. It all seemed so easy on the night. But yes, its so easy to forget just a month or two ago when Palin "surprised" everyone and came out for the VP debate speaking not in tongues, but in coherent sentences. At that point I thought to myself 'oh f*ck. this is going to be claimed as a competent performance. The bush era just may continue'. Thankfully common sense prevailed. Great article.
